Work out an employee's take-home pay and your total employer cost in any province or territory, using the 2026 CPP, CPP2, EI, QPP and QPIP rates and the CRA's 2026 tax brackets.
CPP: employees and employers each pay 5.95% on earnings between the $3,500 basic exemption and $74,600, up to $4,230.45 a year. On a $60,000 salary that is $3,361.75 each.
CPP2: a second 4% contribution on earnings between $74,600 and $85,000, up to $416 a year, also matched by the employer.
EI: 1.63% of insurable earnings up to $68,900 (1.30% in Quebec), a maximum of $1,123.07. Employers pay 1.4 times the employee premium.
Quebec uses QPP at 6.30%, QPIP at 0.43%, the reduced Quebec EI rate, Quebec income tax brackets and the 16.5% federal abatement.
